International collaborations are key to advancing specific lines of research, and the contributions of Visiting Scientists and Fellows in the intramural labs is enormous. This presentation will take a look at the NIH's international activities, past and present, and will provide perspectives on trends and opportunities for international collaborations in light of changing patterns of global disease burdens.
