Abstract: Counseling and rehabilitation of victims of human rights violation in Malawi and Uganda have been described with respect to mainly two service provider models (1) IRCT (International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims) and (2) IPSER (International Psychosocial and Socio-Ecological Research Institute). Both approaches of IRCT in Malawi and IPSER in Uganda have been beneficial as shown by follow-up studies. The psychopathology involved and the psychosocial process of therapeutic change of the victims of violence has been revealed in a number of case studies. (CIRRIE Abstract)
