Abstract: The paper describes the design and feedback control of the recumbent tricycle for the persons with paraplegia, which they propel using their legs through electrical stimulation. In contrast to the commercially available tricycles, developed to be used as a stationary ergometer or as mobile device for recreational use, the tricycle developed in this study serves for optimal cadence control. The experimental results are described. (CIRRIE Abstract)
