Abstract: This paper describes the design of a wheelchair with the sliding disk control interface. The sliding disk control interface acts as an alternative to the conventional joystick. The original device was evaluated with seven cerebral palsied users. The paper describes a commercial version of the original device that was created in association with a wheelchair company.
