Abstract: 317 patients in Germany, involved in large-scale study, completed the Parent Stress Index, as well as filled out a questionnaire regarding demographics and related information. In question is parenting stress of parents who have children with hearing impairment, as well as other disabilities. Results: Child domain scores showed consistent high stress, whereas except for one score, Parent Domain showed only a slight tendency toward greater stress. These results portray realistically what parents who have children who are multiply disabled and hearing impaired face. Suggested is that extended psychosocial intervention should be provided to these parents. (CIRRIE Abstract)
